SPECIAL CAMPAIGN FOR 100 % VOTING

Even though this is a year of celebration for India's 75th anniversary of independence, we're still working hard to get everyone registered to vote. State and central governments in India run countless voter education campaigns to promote the idea that voting is every Indian citizen's most important civic responsibility. As an added bonus, citizens are reminded by the government that voting is a fundamental right and obligation. The NSS and Rotaract Club at Valluvar College of Science & Management took the initiative to teach individuals how to vote as part of an effort to make them more responsible citizens.
We have faith in the students' community as the backbone of our nation, whose creative thoughts can change the world for the better. Because of this, the institution has announced a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 for each student based on the percentage of eligible voters who cast ballots in their polling place. The students' goal should be to ensure that every eligible voter in their community participates in the upcoming State Assembly election on the scheduled date (06.04.2021).
Thirty students participated in the competition, which ran for a week, and they reached a big number of people in and around their election wards. They have informed the general public of the value of our participation on election day. Thanks to this programme, the Karur District in Tamil Nadu had the highest voter turnout rate of any constituency in the state (83.96%). In Tamil Nadu, this is the first time an institution has taken such an active role in reaching this objective.
